Testimonials

“Thank you for the outstanding support, guidance and facilitation in providing me all the relevant information that has enabled me to navigate through the maze of the NDIS. The process was daunting. I would highly recommend parents to utilise the professional services of InclusivED to reduce the stress associated with writing NDIS plans and time spent in trying to “do it all by yourself”. The fact that you know that you have the help and support of a competent, knowledgeable and caring person is not only a great relief, but it gives you the assurance that you are not alone in the journey and will have a resourceful provider by your side”

“Lorraine has been working with my children for many years. She is uniquely qualified to assist families living with and learning how best to thrive with a disability. As a parent of a child with a disability and an educator in the field of Disability studies, she has insights and strategies that are practicality proven and not out of a textbook.

Over the years, Lorraine has befriended, mentored and stretched my children to strive to be the best they can be. Whether it was debriefing an incident, strategizing through a rough patch, actively planning the pathway forward, or up-skilling and explaining to us parents. I can’t thank her enough for helping us get our kids ready for their future”

“You sure are tough on me and I know why, but then I wouldn’t get to where I am if it wasn’t for your persistence, persuasion and presumption of competence and the highest expectations you set for me. Thank you for believing in me”

“I’d like to thank you for everything you’ve done this year for me. I’ve really enjoyed your classes and workshops not only because I learnt a lot but because of the passion you have for the topic. When you have a teacher like yourself who is passionate and driven, it makes the student enjoy the classes that much more”

“Lorraine is a passionate, knowledgeable, skilled and dedicated advocate. Her vast expertise and experience has been gained through many years of her lived experience as a parent with a family member requiring adjustments within the school and post school learning environments. Lorraine has worked daily and consistently to achieve an inclusive education at a time when there was opposition, and at times hostility to inclusion of ALL students within the schooling system.

She competently, in collaboration with school staff worked at dispelling the many myths that abound about students who require adjustments to enable them to learn effectively. Lorraine has never wavered from her principles and beliefs in assuming competence in every student and the right of every child to be educated in the school of the parent’s choice. This has now become the Department of Education and Training stated policy.

Lorraine ‘s pioneering strategies in challenging systems to abide by their responsibilities to equal opportunities for All children and adults have been generously shared via conference presentations, parent forums, seminars and her teaching at RMIT of the Additional Needs unit for both the Certificate 1V in Education Support and the Diploma in Teacher Education Preparation.

Her hands on experience in working with families at Glen Eira City Council for over 20 years has contributed to her deep understanding of the needs of children, young people and families to live inclusive community lives.”
